Refund & Return Policy

At Pathshala, we aim to provide high-quality educational books and learning materials. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.

This policy explains how refunds, replacements, and returns are handled.

 

1. Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns or replacements under the following conditions:

You may request a return or replacement if:

  • You received a damaged or defective book

  • You received the wrong product

  • The product is missing pages or is misprinted

To be eligible:

  • The request must be raised within 7 days of delivery

  • The book must be unused and in original condition

  • Original packaging (if any) should be retained

 

2. Items Not Eligible for Return

We do not accept returns or refunds for:

  • Books that have been used, written on, or damaged by the customer

  • Orders placed incorrectly by the customer (wrong title, wrong quantity, etc.)

  • Digital products or downloadable content (if applicable)

  • Bulk or special discounted orders (unless defective)

 

3. How to Request a Refund or Replacement

To initiate a request, please email us at:

Include:

  • Your Order ID

  • A photo or video of the issue (damaged, wrong product, etc.)

  • A brief description of the problem

Our support team will review your request within 2 business days.

 

4. Return Process

If your return is approved:

  • We will provide instructions for return shipping (if required)

  • In some cases, we may not ask for the product to be returned and directly process a refund or replacement

Return shipping cost:

  • If the issue is from our side (damaged, wrong item), we bear the cost

  • If the return is due to customer preference, shipping charges are not refundable

 

5. Refund Processing

Once approved:

  • Refunds are processed back to the original payment method

  • Since payments are handled by Razorpay, the amount will be credited via Razorpay to your bank or wallet

Refund timelines:

  • Razorpay typically processes refunds within 5–7 business days

  • Banks may take additional time to reflect the amount

 

6. Replacement Option

If you prefer, we can offer a replacement instead of a refund for damaged or incorrect items.
Replacement orders are shipped at no extra cost.

 

7. Order Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled only if they have not yet been shipped.
Once shipped, cancellation is not possible — only return/replacement rules apply.

 

8. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund:

  • First, check your bank or UPI app

  • Then contact your payment provider

  • If the issue persists, email us and we’ll coordinate with Razorpay on your behalf
